**Core Responsibilities of LPNs:**

The responsibilities of Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) encompass a variety of tasks that ensure the delivery of comprehensive care to diverse patient populations, which may include:

- Initiating, executing, and completing designated duties in patient care based on specific conditions and needs.

- Evaluating patient status and selecting appropriate interventions; accurately documenting and communicating significant patient data.

- Monitoring and addressing patient care requirements, including medication administration, equipment-assisted interventions, and providing educational resources for patients and their families.

- Administering prescribed medications (oral, topical, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and/or intravenous) and conducting treatments in adherence to established clinical protocols.

- Identifying urgent and emergent care scenarios, collaborating with RNs and MDs/DOs for intervention, and implementing emergency procedures as necessary.

- Assisting in complex diagnostic tests and specialized procedures, including patient preparation, aiding in examinations, managing specialized instruments, and ensuring patient safety and stability pre-, intra-, and post-procedure.

- Educating peers and support staff on unit protocols, competencies, and best practices.

- Fostering a healthy work environment that enhances patient care, promotes patient and family education, and contributes to staff satisfaction.

**Work Schedule:** The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, consisting of nine hours within the time frame of 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, inclusive of a one-hour lunch break. Services are rendered in clinics focusing on Flight Medicine and Operational Medicine.

**Minimum Qualifications:** -

 **Education:** Graduation from a CNEA-accredited nursing program or equivalent recognized by relevant state regulatory bodies. - 

**Experience:** At least one year of professional experience as an LPN or LVN post-graduation. - 

**Licensure:** Possession of a current, unrestricted LPN/LVN license from any U.S. state. - 

**Life Support Certification:** Must hold an active American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification. - 

**Security Clearance:** Eligibility to pass a government background investigation for security clearance.
