**Job Duties**
- Conducts tests and evaluations to understand the mental health of inmates by looking at their records and talking to them.
- Works as part of a team with other experts, such as doctors and nurses, to share information about inmates' mental health issues. This helps make sure that all parts of their treatment work together well.
- Creates and adjusts treatment plans for inmates based on their needs and how they are doing.
- Regularly checks on inmates in special areas to see how they are adjusting and what mental health support they may need.
- Uses knowledge of counseling methods to provide effective treatments and activities for the inmates.
- Offers mental health evaluations, counseling, and techniques to help prevent conflicts, especially for inmates in crisis.
- Talks to other professionals, like doctors, nurses, and security staff, to understand why some inmates may be having more problems or changes in their mental health.
**Qualifications**
- Must have a valid license to practice in Oklahoma or be able to get one.
- Must have clinical experience (being a school psychologist does not count).
