The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains professional conduct in all personal and professional interactions while on duty within the facility. 

The RN exemplifies exemplary customer service.

Under the supervision of the Unit Manager, Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), or Director of Nursing (DON), the RN assumes responsibility and accountability for a designated group of residents or patients during their shift. Nursing care is delivered through comprehensive assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the individualized plan of care. 

The RN adheres to established standards of care for the designated area, manages the environment to ensure patient safety, and supervises the performance of patient care activities conducted by nursing assistants and support staff. 

The RN performs duties as defined by the State Nurse Practice Act and follows applicable Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) standards.

**Qualifications**  

- A minimum of two years of experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Long-Term Care (LTC), or Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) settings is required.  

- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is mandatory.   - Documentation of the COVID-19 vaccination is required, with medical and religious exemptions considered on an individual basis.  

- Prior travel nursing experience is required.  

**Certification Requirements**  

- Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA   - State licensing requirements for Michigan
