The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) has everyday clinical tasks in the doctor's office. The LPN's job includes giving medications, helping with special procedures, teaching patients and their families, and keeping patient files up to date.
**Qualifications:**
- At least 2 years of LPN experience in a hospital
- Required - Experience with neurological patients
- Required - Valid LPN license in Ohio - Required - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association)

This position also involves helping a doctor with tests that check how nerves and muscles work.
**Patient Care:**
Get patients ready for EMG and nerve conduction velocity (NCV) tests. Explain the tests to patients and answer their questions.
**Technical Support:
** Set up and use EMG machines, place electrodes on patients, and record how the nerves and muscles are working.
**Assisting the Doctor:
** Help the supervising doctor during exams by providing both technical and clinical support.
**Documenting Information:
** Write down test results and patient information accurately to help the doctor with their analysis and diagnosis.
**Office Tasks:
** Take care of scheduling and other administrative tasks for the electrodiagnostic department.
