In this role, you will work closely with anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals to administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical procedures. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring patient safety and comfort, contributing significantly to our mission of delivering exceptional medical care.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia under the supervision of an anesthesiologist
- Monitor patients' vital signs during procedures
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure effective patient care
- Perform pre-anesthesia assessments
- Manage anesthesia-related complications and emergencies
- Educate patients and families about anesthesia procedures
- Document anesthesia administration and patient responses
- Stay updated with the latest practices in anesthesiology
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher in Anesthesiology or Nursing
- Certification as a Nurse Anesthetist or Anesthesiologist Assistant
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of anesthesia equipment and techniques
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Current CPR and ACLS certification
Schedule: 7a-5p, 4 days per week
No call or weekend shifts
8 ORs
Case Types: Bread & butter, OB, endo, general, and spine
Hearts are a plus, but not required
1:4 medical supervision
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
