This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to work on-site within the medical practice industry, providing critical support in anesthesia care for various surgical procedures.
As a Locum AA, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring patient safety and comfort during anesthesia administration. You will collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care. This position is essential for maintaining the standards of care and efficiency in our practice.
Responsibilities
- Assist anesthesiologists in administering anesthesia during surgical procedures
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and anesthesia levels throughout surgery
- Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies
- Communicate effectively with surgical teams to ensure seamless procedures
- Assess patient conditions pre- and post-anesthesia
- Provide education and support to patients regarding anesthesia procedures
- Adhere to safety protocols and best practices in anesthesia care
- Document patient information accurately and timely in medical records
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Anesthesia or related field
- Current certification as an Anesthesiologist Assistant
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques and equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Experience in a clinical setting preferred
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
