Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality prenatal, labor, and postpartum care to patients
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on health, wellness, and reproductive choices
- Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals
- Perform routine gynecological examinations and screenings
- Manage complications and emergencies as needed
- Document patient interactions and maintain accurate medical records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing; CNM certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Ob/Gyn setting
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of midwifery practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Schedule: 24-hour in-house call shifts, 2-3 days per week
Setting: Inpatient, Level III Trauma
24-bed labor & delivery unit
Delivery Volume: 300 per month, 8-10 per day (2-3 c-sections per day)
Team Structure: 1-2 MDs, 2 CNMs, MFM
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
