As a Locum CRNA, you will play a crucial role in delivering anesthesia services for a variety of surgical procedures, collaborating closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and comfort. This role is vital to our commitment to excellence in patient care and clinical outcomes within the medical field.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients throughout surgical procedures
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and develop anesthesia care plans
- Evaluate patients' medical histories and current health status
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during and after procedures
- Respond to emergencies and provide critical care as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of anesthesia services
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in anesthesiology practices
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing with a focus on Nurse Anesthesia
- Current CRNA certification and state licensure
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of anesthetic procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on patient safety
- Flexibility to adapt to various clinical settings
- Previous experience in a surgical environment is preferred
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7a-3p or 7a-5p
Call Requirement: 5p-7a weekdays and 7a-7a weekends with post-call day off
Case Types: General, endo, ortho, joint replacement, urology, ophthalmology, OB/GYN, ENT, radiology with anesthesia, and podiatry
Must be proficient in blocks, spinals, and epidurals
Anesthesiologists, CRNAs, and AAs onsite
Will work independently
EMR: Epic
Board certification required
