This contract position offers an excellent opportunity for healthcare professionals looking to make an impact in the Medical Practice industry, specifically in Anesthesiology. The role requires on-site work, allowing you to engage directly with patients and healthcare staff.
As a Locum CRNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality anesthesia care during surgical procedures. You will collaborate with surgeons and other medical personnel to ensure patient safety and comfort before, during, and after anesthesia administration.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes during procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop anesthesia care plans
- Provide pre-anesthetic evaluations and post-anesthesia care
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in anesthesia practice
- Assist in training and mentoring junior anesthesia staff
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Stay updated with current anesthesia techniques and regulations
Requirements
- Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Associate degree in Nursing or related field
- Experience in anesthesia administration and patient care
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques and protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
Schedule: 9a-5p, Monday-Friday
No call unless for a critical lab result
Daily Volume: 15-20 patients
Will be working with residents and med students
4 physicians & APPs for support
Board certification required
