This on-site, contract position offers an excellent opportunity to provide top-notch anesthesia care in a dynamic medical practice environment.
As a Locum CRNA, you will play a vital role in delivering anesthesia services, ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures. You will work with a collaborative team of healthcare professionals, helping to implement best practices and contribute to quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Monitor patient vital signs and manage sedation levels
- Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and develop anesthesia care plans
- Collaborate with surgeons and surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Evaluate patient response to anesthesia and make necessary adjustments
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and organizational policies
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding anesthesia
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Current CRNA certification and valid state license
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in anesthesia administration
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques and patient safety standards
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus
Schedule: Monday-Friday (7a-7p or 9a-9p) or Saturday & Sunday (7a-5:30p)
No call requirement
Setting: MOR or procedural suite
MOR Cases: General, neuro, urology, orthopedics, gynecology, colorectal, ENT/OMFS, plastics, burn, thoracic, vascular, kidney transplants
Procedural Suite Cases: GI, EP, IR, MRI, neuro, cardiology, etc.
Supervision: 1:3 in MOR, 1:3 or 1:4 in procedural suites
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
