As a Locum CRNA, you will play a crucial role in providing anesthesia care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures. This position requires strong clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and comfort of patients.

Responsibilities

  • Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures
  • Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed
  • Collaborate with surgeons and other medical staff to ensure optimal patient care
  • Provide preoperative and postoperative care to patients
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and standards in anesthesia practice
  • Document patient information and anesthesia administration accurately
  • Participate in continuous education and professional development activities
  • Assist in the training and supervision of nursing staff as required

Requirements

  • Associate degree in nursing with CRNA certification
  • Current and valid nursing license
  • Previous experience in anesthesia preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with anesthesia equipment and technology
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality care

Schedule: 3-4 shifts per week, 7a-5:30p

No call requirement

Setting: Inpatient and outpatient

Must be open to rotating between multiple facilities

Procedures: MAC and general anesthesia

Case Types: General, orthopedics, GYN, ENT, urology, podiatry, endo, some TEEs, and OB

Must be comfortable with a low volume of pediatric ENT cases and OB cases

Support Staff: Anesthesiologist, anesthesia techs

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
