Description
As a Locum CRNA, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality anesthesia care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures. You will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after anesthesia administration. This role not only supports our clients in the staffing and recruiting industry but also ensures that patient care standards are met and exceeded.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to patients under the direction of anesthesiologists
- Monitor patients' vital signs and anesthesia levels during procedures
- Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and consultations
- Collaborate with surgical teams to plan anesthesia care
- Manage post-anesthesia recovery and provide pain management solutions
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standards
- Document anesthesia care and patient responses accurately
- Stay updated on advancements in anesthesia techniques and practices
Requirements
- Valid CRNA certification and state licensure
- Associate degree in nursing with a focus on anesthesia
- Experience in administering anesthesia in a clinical setting
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and patient safety
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts
Call shifts available
Cases: General, orthopedics, gynecology
Comfortability with OB cases preferred
Must be proficient in blocks
Independent practice
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
