This on-site, contract position provides an excellent opportunity for professionals in the medical practice industry to deliver high-quality anesthetic care to patients in a supportive and collaborative environment.
As a Locum CRNA, you will play a crucial role in ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures. You will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to develop and implement anesthesia care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Monitor patient vital signs and manage anesthesia levels during surgery
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient care
- Evaluate patients' medical histories to assess anesthesia risks
- Provide post-anesthesia care and monitor recovery
- Educate patients about anesthesia processes and address any concerns
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of anesthesia care
- Stay updated with the latest anesthesiology practices and regulations
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
- Active CRNA certification and state licensure
- Experience in administering anesthesia in a clinical setting
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
- Knowledge of current anesthesia protocols and safety standards
- Flexibility to adapt to changing environments and schedules
Schedule: Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday, 10-hour shifts
Annual Volume: 5,000+ cases
8 ORs, 1 OB, 1 cysto, 3 endo, cath lab, MRI, & IR
Diverse Caseload: GI, urology, OB, cath lab, ortho, podiatry, spine, and general
Must be proficient with spinals and OB coverage; regional blocks preferred
Team Structure: 3 MDs & 10-11 CRNAs per day
CRNAs are supervised
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
