This contract position is on-site and offers a unique opportunity to provide critical anesthesia care in a fast-paced medical practice environment.
As a Locum CRNA, you will play a vital role in ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures. You will collaborate with a team of experienced healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality anesthesia services.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed
- Collaborate with surgeons and medical staff to ensure patient safety
- Evaluate patients preoperatively to determine appropriate anesthesia plans
- Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management solutions
- Document all patient interactions and anesthesia administration accurately
- Stay current with best practices in anesthesia and medical protocols
- Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing with a specialization in Nurse Anesthesia
- Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in anesthesia
- Strong knowledge of anesthetic techniques and medications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong attention to detail and patient care
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
Schedule: 40 hours per week, no weekends
Daily Volume: ~3 cases
Patient Population: All ages and degrees of disability, including trauma
Cases: Bread and butter OB/GYN, pediatric dental, ENT, and orthopedics
Duties: General anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and epidurals
No supervision required
Must be board-certified
