We are currently seeking a skilled Locum CRNA (Nurse Anesthetist) As a vital member of our anesthesiology team, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality anesthesia care to patients. This position involves working on-site and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities:
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop anesthetic care plans.
- Manage and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies.
- Assess patients' conditions and adjust anesthesia levels accordingly.
- Provide post-anesthesia care, including monitoring recovery and managing pain.
- Document patient care accurately and timely.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
Requirements:
- Valid CRNA certification and state licensure.
- Associate degree in Nursing or related field.
- Proven experience as a Nurse Anesthetist in a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia principles, practices, and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
- Commitment to providing compassionate patient care.
Schedule: 8 or 10-hour day shifts
Call: 12, 16, or 24-hour call shifts available
Patient Population: Ages 4 months+
Daily Census: 8-10 cases
Cases: Primarily OB (including epidurals and spinals), ortho, and general vascular
Support Staff: 2 MDs and 11 CRNAs
EMR: Epic
Board certification required
