Description
As a Locum CRNA, you will play a crucial role in delivering anesthesia services, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Your expertise will contribute to various clinical settings, and you will have the chance to make a significant impact on patient care during your assignment.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical and other medical procedures
- Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and develop individualized anesthesia plans
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals
- Provide post-anesthesia care and evaluate patients' recovery
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standards
- Educate patients and their families about anesthesia and procedural expectations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives within the department
Requirements
- Valid CRNA certification and active state licensure
- Associate degree in nursing with a specialization in anesthesia
- Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques and pharmacology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to patient-centered care and safety standards
Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, specific dates
No call requirement
Setting: Outpatient
Patient Volume: 10 per shift
Caseload: 100% GI
Must be board-certified
