As a Locum D Gastroenterologist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality healthcare services to our patients. Your expertise will help in diagnosing and treating a variety of gastrointestinal conditions while collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive gastroenterological care to patients
• Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes
• Educate patients about gastrointestinal health and wellness
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in gastroenterology
• Adhere to all clinical protocols and standards of care

Requirements

• Medical degree with specialization in Gastroenterology
• Associate-level experience in a clinical setting
• Current medical license to practice in the state
• Strong diagnostic and procedural skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Commitment to patient-centered care
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems

Schedule: 7a-7p + overnight beeper call

Level II trauma

Setting: 100% inpatient

Daily Volume: 4-5 new consults, 15-18 inpatients, 4 procedures

ERCP and EUS required

Must be comfortable with moderate sedation

Support Staff: 1-2 APPs

Must teach APPs

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
