As a Locum MD in Anesthesiology, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality anesthesia care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes and contribute to our commitment to excellence in medical services.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes during surgery
- Collaborate with surgeons and other medical staff to develop anesthesia plans
- Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and patient consultations
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Educate patients and their families about anesthesia procedures
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives
- Stay updated on advancements in anesthesiology and best practices
Requirements
- MD degree from an accredited medical school
- Current medical license to practice in the state of Nevada
- Completion of residency in Anesthesiology
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Schedule: 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts
Call: Weeknights (7p-7a) or weekends (7a-7a)
Case Types: General, ortho, cardiac, OB, podiatry, healthy peds, ENT, neuro, vascular, thoracic
Skills Required: Spinals, blocks, epidurals
Cardiac experience is a plus
Daily Team Structure: 3 MDs, 10 CRNAs
Will supervise CRNAs and work independently
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
