 This contract position offers a unique opportunity for aspiring professionals in the medical field to contribute to patient care while working on-site in a collaborative environment.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in administering anesthesia and providing comprehensive perioperative care to patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures. Responsibilities

  • Administer anesthesia for various surgical procedures
  • Monitor patient vital signs before, during, and after anesthesia
  • Collaborate with surgeons and other medical staff for optimal patient care
  • Assess patient medical histories to determine appropriate anesthetic plans
  • Manage postoperative pain through appropriate pain management techniques
  • Educate patients about anesthesia procedures and address their concerns
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care and procedures
  • Stay updated with advancements in anesthesiology and surgical practices

Requirements

  • MD degree from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of residency in Anesthesiology
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of North Carolina
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in anesthesiology
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to make quick decisions under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to providing patient-centered care

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10 to 12-hour shifts

Call required, weekends as needed

Average Daily Volume: 10-15 CV cases

Case Types: Cardiac, thoracic, vascular surgery, TAVR, CABG, MitraClip

Care team model

Support Staff: MDs and CRNAs

EMR: Cerner, AIMS

Must be board-certified or board-eligible

Must be TEE certified
