Description

As a Locum MD in Anesthesiology, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality anesthesia care to patients, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout various medical procedures. This role offers a chance to work closely with experienced medical staff, contributing to a collaborative team focused on delivering excellent healthcare services. 

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical procedures
• Evaluate patients' medical histories and assess their suitability for anesthesia
• Collaborate with surgeons and other medical professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Manage anesthesia-related complications and emergencies
• Provide post-anesthesia care and evaluate patients' recovery
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in anesthesiology practices
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Valid medical license to practice in the state of New Jersey
• Basic knowledge of anesthesiology principles and practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care
• Experience in a clinical setting is a plus but not required

Schedule: 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts

Shifts available at multiple facilities

Patient Census: 10 per day

Some L&D cases, no cardiac or trauma cases

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
