Description
As a Locum MD in Anesthesiology, you will play a vital role in patient care, collaborating with surgical teams to ensure the highest standards of anesthesia practice are met. Your expertise will directly contribute to the quality of care provided to patients, making a significant impact on their surgical experiences and outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons and healthcare teams to develop anesthesia care plans
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and evaluate patient medical histories
- Manage post-anesthesia recovery and address any complications
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols in anesthesia care
- Provide education and support to patients regarding anesthesia options
- Document all anesthesia procedures and patient interactions accurately
- Stay updated on best practices and advancements in anesthesiology
Requirements
- MD degree from an accredited medical school
- Current board certification in Anesthesiology
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Portsmouth
- Experience in administering anesthesia for various surgical procedures
- Strong understanding of anesthesia equipment and monitoring techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7a-5:30p
Weeknight and weekend beeper call shifts available as needed
Case Mix: General, GYN, ENT including peds, urology, thoracic, vascular, etc.
No neuro/spine cases
1:4 medical direction
EMR: Meditech
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
