 This on-site, contract position offers a unique opportunity for medical professionals to provide exceptional care in a dynamic medical practice environment.

As a Locum MD in Anesthesiology, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and comfort of patients undergoing surgical procedures. You will collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other medical staff to deliver high-quality anesthetic care tailored to each patient's needs. This role not only emphasizes clinical expertise but also provides a chance to contribute to the overall patient experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

 

Responsibilities

  • Administer anesthetics and monitor patients during surgical procedures
  • Conduct pre-operative assessments and consultations
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to develop and implement anesthetic plans
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process
  • Manage post-anesthesia recovery and evaluate patients’ responses
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding anesthesia
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
  • Stay updated on advancements in anesthesiology practices and technologies

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with a focus on Anesthesiology
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of Lawton
  • Experience in anesthesia administration and patient monitoring
  • Strong understanding of surgical procedures and anesthetic techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7a-3p

No call requirement

Daily volume: 4 patients

Board certification required
