As a Locum MD in Cardiology, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with cardiovascular conditions, performing necessary procedures, and providing exceptional patient care. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients with cardiovascular issues
• Develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients
• Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to guide patient care
• Collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Educate patients about heart health and preventive measures
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Participate in case reviews and contribute to departmental goals
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in cardiology

Requirements

• MD degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification in Cardiology or equivalent
• Active medical license in the state of practice
• Strong clinical skills and a patient-centered approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Prior experience in a cardiology setting is preferred
• Commitment to continuous professional development and education

Schedule: 24-hour call shifts, 3-7 days per month

Setting: Inpatient/EMTALA call

Patient Population: Adults

Duties: Procedures, general cardiology consults as needed, and reading studies (including EKGs, ECHOs, and stress tests)

Required Procedures: Balloon angioplasties, coronary angioplasties, percutaneous coronary interventions, heart catheterizations, and coronary angiograms

Support Staff: 2 interventional cardiologists

EMR: Epic Cupid

Board certification required

Paid travel & expenses
