As a Locum MD in Cardiothoracic Surgery, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality surgical care to patients, collaborating with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. Responsibilities
- Perform cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures
- Evaluate and manage pre-operative and post-operative care for patients
- Collaborate with surgical teams and support staff
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Provide expert consultation to other medical professionals
- Participate in surgical rounds and case discussions
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the department
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) degree from an accredited institution
- Active medical license to practice in the state of South Carolina
- Associate-level experience in cardiothoracic surgery
- Strong surgical skills and knowledge of cardiothoracic procedures
- Excellent patient care and communication abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Schedule: 24-hour call shifts, specific dates
Required Procedures: CABG, aneurysm repair, and heart valve replacement
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
