Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) specializing in Cardiothoracic Surgery and Electrophysiology In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality medical care to patients requiring specialized cardiac procedures. Your expertise will be instrumental in contributing to the success of our healthcare facility, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients. You will be involved in a variety of challenging and rewarding projects, making a significant impact in the field of cardiovascular medicine.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing cardiothoracic surgeries and electrophysiology procedures according to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Assessing patient conditions and determining appropriate treatment plans.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participating in patient consultations and providing education on treatment options.
  • Documenting patient progress and maintaining accurate medical records.
  • Staying current on advancements in cardiothoracic surgery and electrophysiology.
  • Adhering to all regulatory requirements and safety standards.
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery and Electrophysiology.
  • Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
  • Demonstrated experience in performing complex cardiothoracic surgeries.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30a-5p

No call or weekend shifts

3-4 clinic days per week

Cases: Ablations, LAOs, Watchmans, Amulets, and pacemakers

Support Staff: APPs

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
