As a Locum MD, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional surgical care, collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure the highest standards of patient outcomes. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive surgical care in cardiothoracic and vascular specialties
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-ups
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices in surgery
- Participate in surgical procedures, including complex cases
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Stay current with advancements in surgical techniques and technologies
- Support training and mentorship of junior medical staff
Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Valid medical license to practice in the relevant state
- Experience in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery
- Strong clinical skills and patient-centered approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Preferred: Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery or Vascular Surgery
- Level II Trauma
Schedule: Night and weekend shifts
Call Requirement: 2-3 weekends per month
Daily Volume: 2 cases
Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
16 ORs
Required Procedures: CAE, aneurysm repair, femoral bypass, fistula, endovascular and open surgical reconstruction for deep vein occlusions, endovascular therapy for PAD, and endovascular therapy for gangrene of the limbs
Additional Conditions Treated: Vascular malformations, Nutcracker Syndrome, lymphedema, venous wounds, carotid stents, and varicose veins
Must be board-certified
