As a Locum Anesthesiologist, your expertise will be crucial in administering anesthesia and monitoring patient safety during surgical procedures. Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patient vitals during surgical procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons and medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-ups
- Maintain accurate patient records and anesthesia logs
- Provide exceptional patient care and support throughout the surgical process
- Evaluate and manage anesthesia-related complications
- Adhere to established protocols and safety standards
- Participate in team meetings and continuous quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Active medical license to practice in the State of Michigan
- At least 1-3 years of experience as an Anesthesiologist
- Strong understanding of anesthesiology principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong attention to detail and patient safety
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Trauma Level II
Schedule: 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts, Monday-Friday
Call Shifts: Monday-Friday (7p-7a), Saturday-Sunday (7a-7a)
Support Staff: Generalist Anesthesiologist & CRNA
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
ACLS & BLS required
