This on-site, contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality anesthetic care in a dynamic medical practice environment.
As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures. You will collaborate with surgeons and medical staff to develop and implement effective anesthetic plans tailored to each patient's needs. Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical and medical procedures
- Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthetic levels as needed
- Collaborate with surgical teams to develop anesthetic plans
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and evaluations
- Provide post-operative care and pain management strategies
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology
- Active medical license in the state of practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Prior experience in an acute care setting preferred
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Schedule: 7a-5p, 5 days per week
Call shifts available
Will rotate to multiple sites
Setting: Inpatient and outpatient
Annual Volume: 70-80,000 cases
Will cover all types of cases except for hearts and babies
Procedures Required: General, MAC, regional, and post-op serve blocks (extremities and TAP blocks)
Support Staff: CRNAs
Medically directed
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
