Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients throughout surgical procedures
- Evaluate patients pre-operatively and develop individualized anesthesia plans
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient safety
- Manage post-anesthesia care and assess patient recovery
- Provide consultations regarding anesthesia techniques and protocols
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Participate in departmental meetings and continuous education
- Adhere to all safety and quality standards within the facility
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Active medical license to practice anesthesiology
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in anesthesiology
- Strong knowledge of anesthetic techniques and protocols
- Excellent patient care and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse medical team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education
- Schedule: Friday (5p-7a) or weekends (7a-7a)
- Annual Volume: 3,600 surgical cases
- Case Types: Orthopedics, L&D, spine, GI, gynecology, urology, cath lab, interventional radiology, bariatric bypass, and minimal vascular cases
- Support Staff: Anesthesiologists, CRNA, and anesthesia tech
- EMR: Epic
- Must be board-certified
- Paid travel & expenses
