As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will be responsible for administering anesthesia and monitoring patients throughout their surgical procedures. Responsibilities

  • Administer anesthesia safely and effectively during surgical procedures
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes during surgery
  • Assess patients pre-operatively to determine appropriate anesthetic plans
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Provide post-anesthesia care and follow-up
  • Document patient care accurately in medical records
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities
  • Ensure compliance with all medical regulations and best practices

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
  • Current medical license to practice in the relevant state
  • Board certification in Anesthesiology (highly preferred)
  • Proven experience in anesthesiology during clinical practice
  • Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques and protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to patient-centered care and safety
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Schedule: 8 or 10-hour shifts, 5 days per week

Call: 12 or 24-hour call shifts possible

Multiple locations

Setting: Inpatient and outpatient

Annual Volume: 70-80k cases

Case Ratio: 3:1 or 4:1

Will provide anesthesia for all types of cases, including OB

No hearts and babies

Procedures: General, MAC, regional and post-op nerve blocks (extremities and TAP blocks)

Support Staff: Medically-directed CRNAs

Must be board-certified
