As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures. You will collaborate with surgical teams to assess patients, develop anesthesia plans, and monitor patients throughout their surgical experience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and evaluations
- Develop and implement anesthesia care plans
- Administer anesthesia agents and monitor patients' vital signs
- Collaborate with surgeons and other medical staff during procedures
- Ensure patient safety and manage any complications that arise
- Provide post-anesthesia care and patient education
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Anesthesiology
- Valid medical license in the state of practice
- Experience in a clinical anesthesia setting
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques and protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and safety
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, no weekends
Daily Volume: ~3 cases
Patient Population: All ages and degrees of disability, including trauma
Cases: Bread and butter OB/GYN, pediatric dental, ENT, and orthopedics
Duties: General anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and epidurals
No supervision required
Must be board-certified
