As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will play a vital role in managing anesthesia care for cardiac surgical procedures. You will work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other medical staff to ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process. Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing cardiac surgeries
- Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthesia as needed
- Collaborate with surgical teams to develop anesthesia care plans
- Conduct preoperative assessments and consultations
- Provide postoperative care and pain management
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and best practices
- Educate patients and families on anesthesia processes and risks
- Participate in continuing education and training programs
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Active state medical license in good standing
- Board certification in Anesthesiology
- Previous experience in cardiac anesthesiology preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care
- Willingness to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as needed
