In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the safety and comfort of our young patients undergoing surgical procedures. Working closely with a collaborative team of healthcare professionals, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives while delivering high-quality anesthetic care in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia to pediatric patients for various surgical procedures
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and ensure their safety during anesthetic procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons and medical staff to establish patient care plans
• Evaluate patients' medical histories and assess their suitability for anesthesia
• Provide post-anesthesia care and follow-up consultations
• Educate patients and their families about anesthesia processes and safety measures
• Stay updated on advancements in anesthesiology and pediatric care
• Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Completion of a residency in Anesthesiology
• Valid medical license to practice in the state of Virginia
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a medical team
• Compassionate attitude towards patient care
• Basic understanding of pediatric health issues and anesthesia protocols
• Willingness to learn and contribute positively to a fast-paced environment

Schedule: 7:00a-3:30p, 7:00a-5:00p, or 7:00a-7:00p
