 This contract position is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality care in a dynamic medical practice environment, with a focus on improving patient outcomes and delivering comprehensive cardiovascular care.

In this on-site role, you will be integral to our cardiology department, working closely with both medical staff and patients to diagnose and treat various cardiovascular conditions. Your expertise will help drive our initiatives to enhance patient care and ensure our services meet the highest standards in the medical field.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care to patients
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments
  • Develop treatment plans based on clinical findings
  • Perform diagnostic procedures and interpret results
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary medical teams
  • Educate patients on cardiac health and wellness
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records
  • Stay abreast of advancements in cardiology and medical practices

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Valid medical license to practice in Texas
  • Associate-level experience in Cardiology or a related field
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
  • Commitment to patient care and ethical medical practices
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred

Schedule: 24-hour call coverage

Setting: Inpatient/outpatient

Daily Clinic Volume: ~20 patients

Daily Hospital Volume: 5–6 consults

Duties: Bread-and-butter procedures, IP consults, and STEMIs for the ED

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified or board-eligible

Paid travel and expenses
