Responsibilities
- Perform cardiothoracic surgeries and associated procedures
- Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals
- Conduct pre-operative and post-operative evaluations
- Maintain detailed patient records and participate in care plans
- Provide expert consultation and guidance to patients and families
- Stay updated on advancements in cardiothoracic surgery
- Ensure compliance with medical regulations and hospital policies
- Participate in case reviews and contribute to continuing education within the department
Requirements
- MD or DO degree with applicable licensure
- Experience in cardiothoracic surgery as an Associate
- Strong clinical skills and decision-making abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
- Knowledge of current cardiothoracic surgical techniques and practices
- Commitment to patient care and surgical excellence
- Understanding of medical regulations and ethical considerations
Schedule: 24-hour call shifts, specific dates
Setting: Hospital and clinic
Patient Population: Adult and geriatric
Daily Volume: 4–7 clinic patients, 2 admissions, and 2–7 ICU/inpatients
EMR: Cerner
Must be board-certified
DEA required
Paid travel & expenses
