Responsibilities
- Perform cardiothoracic surgeries and related procedures
- Evaluate and diagnose patients with cardiovascular conditions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient care
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients
- Consult with patients and their families about treatment options
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Stay updated on advancements in cardiothoracic surgery
- Participate in continuous education and professional development
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Associate level experience in a clinical setting
- Strong surgical skills and knowledge of cardiothoracic procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Active medical license in the state of practice
Flexible schedule
Weekday and weekend call shifts
Case Mix: 75% cardiac, 20% lung/chest, minimal vascular and trauma
Support Staff: Additional MD, NP, and RN
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
