Responsibilities
- Perform cardiothoracic and vascular surgical procedures with precision and care
- Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments and post-operative care for patients
- Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals
- Participate in patient consultations and follow-up visits
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in surgical techniques and technologies
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory compliance
- Provide mentorship and support to junior medical staff as needed
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Vascular Surgery
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Georgia
- 2+ years of experience in a surgical setting, preferably in cardiothoracic and vascular specialties
- Strong surgical skills and proficiency in relevant procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Commitment to continuous professional development and education
Schedule: 7a-7a call coverage, specific dates
Consults and rounding are required
Required Procedures: MitraClip, TAVR, thoracic and aortic repairs
Support Staff: Hospital-based RNs, PAs
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
