Responsibilities

  • Perform cardiothoracic and vascular surgical procedures with precision and care
  • Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments and post-operative care for patients
  • Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals
  • Participate in patient consultations and follow-up visits
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in surgical techniques and technologies
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory compliance
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior medical staff as needed

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Vascular Surgery
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of Georgia
  • 2+ years of experience in a surgical setting, preferably in cardiothoracic and vascular specialties
  • Strong surgical skills and proficiency in relevant procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and education

Schedule: 7a-7a call coverage, specific dates

Consults and rounding are required

Required Procedures: MitraClip, TAVR, thoracic and aortic repairs

Support Staff: Hospital-based RNs, PAs

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
