Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical procedures
- Collaborate with surgical teams to develop anesthetic plans
- Assess patients' medical histories and perform pre-anesthetic evaluations
- Manage post-anesthesia care and monitor recovery
- Provide emergency care as needed during procedures
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standards
- Educate patients and families on anesthesia procedures and risks
- Document all procedures and patient interactions accurately
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Active medical license to practice in the state of Colorado
- Experience in anesthesiology preferred, but new graduates are welcome
- Strong understanding of anesthetic techniques and pharmacology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Schedule: 8-hour shifts
No call requirement
Patient Volume: 10 per day
Case Types: Orthopedics, blocks required
Board certification required
