 This contract position is on-site, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient care in a fast-paced medical practice environment.

As a Locum Emergency Medicine Physician, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality emergency care to patients. You will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of acute medical conditions. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes and the overall efficiency of our emergency department.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients in an emergency department setting
• Perform diagnostic procedures and interpret results
• Stabilize and manage acute medical conditions
• Collaborate with nursing and support staff for optimal patient care
• Document patient care accurately and timely
• Participate in departmental meetings and quality improvement initiatives
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff
• Ensure compliance with medical protocols and regulations

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine or equivalent
• Active medical license in the state of practice
• Experience in an emergency medicine setting preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
• Commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork

Schedule: 8, 9, or 10-hour shifts

Annual Volume: 40k patients

Patient Census: 10-12 per shift

Support Staff: APPs

EMR: Meditech

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
