 This contract position is on-site and offers a unique opportunity to provide critical care in a fast-paced medical environment.

In this role, you will be integral in delivering high-quality emergency care to patients, collaborating closely with our healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Your expertise will contribute to the department's mission of providing exceptional medical services and responding effectively to urgent health issues in our community.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assess and treat patients in emergency situations
  • Perform necessary medical procedures and interventions
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
  • Provide clear communication to patients and their families
  • Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions
  • Adhere to best practices and medical guidelines
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and changing situations

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Current board certification in Emergency Medicine
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of California
  • Experience in emergency medicine (Associate level preferred)
  • Strong clinical and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care

Schedule: 9, 10, or 12-hour shifts

No call required

Shifts available at multiple facilities

Patient Volume: 16-20 per shift

Both facilities have 16 ED beds + 7 hall beds

Support Staff: APPs and specialty backup

EMR: Cerner

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
