Responsibilities
- Assess and treat patients in emergency situations
- Perform necessary medical procedures and interventions
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Provide clear communication to patients and their families
- Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions
- Adhere to best practices and medical guidelines
- Respond promptly to emergencies and changing situations
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Current board certification in Emergency Medicine
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of California
- Experience in emergency medicine (Associate level preferred)
- Strong clinical and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Schedule: 9, 10, or 12-hour shifts
No call required
Shifts available at multiple facilities
Patient Volume: 16-20 per shift
Both facilities have 16 ED beds + 7 hall beds
Support Staff: APPs and specialty backup
EMR: Cerner
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
