 This contract position offers an on-site opportunity to provide critical care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the health and safety of our community.

As a Locum Emergency Medicine Physician, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality emergency care to patients. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating acute medical conditions, collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes, and responding to emergency situations with urgency and expertise. This role is crucial in maintaining our commitment to excellence in patient care within the medical practice industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical care to patients in a timely manner
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute medical conditions
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
• Perform necessary medical procedures as required
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Ensure compliance with medical protocols and standards
• Respond effectively to emergency situations
• Educate patients and their families on health management
• Participate in continuous medical education and training

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
• Active medical license to practice in the state of Nebraska
• Experience in Emergency Medicine or a related field
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
• Knowledge of current medical practices and protocols
• Commitment to patient-centered care and safety

Level III Trauma

Schedule: 5 to 7x 8-hour shifts per week

Shifts available at multiple hospitals

Annual Volume: 24K+ OP ED visits, 3K+ IP ED visits

Will respond to codes

Support Staff: APPs

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
