As a Locum Emergency Medicine Physician, you will play a crucial role in delivering immediate medical attention to patients in critical situations. Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients
• Assess and triage patients effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Perform medical procedures as needed for emergency cases
• Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure optimal patient care
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and health management
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department
• Stay current with best practices and advancements in emergency medicine

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Valid medical license to practice in the state of Florida
• Completion of residency in Emergency Medicine
• Experience working in emergency care settings preferred
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to make quick decisions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Schedule: 12-hour day, night, or weekend shifts

Daily Volume: ~57 patients

Annual Volume: 9,000 patients

11 ER bays, including a fully equipped trauma bay

Support Staff: APPs

EMR: Meditech P-doc

Dictation: M-Modal

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
