As a Locum Family Medicine Physician, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, addressing a variety of medical needs for individuals and families. This role is critical in ensuring continuity of care and supporting our team in delivering comprehensive medical services.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical evaluations and treatment plans for patients
- Conduct routine check-ups and preventative care services
- Manage acute and chronic health conditions
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Educate patients and families on health management and disease prevention
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice
- Stay updated on medical practices and advancements in Family Medicine
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Current medical license to practice in the state of Kentucky
- Associate-level experience in Family Medicine or Primary Care
- Strong clinical skills and a patient-centered approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and ethical standards
- Basic proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts
No call shifts
Term Length: Minimum of 6 months, 1 year preferred
Patient Census: ~8-10 per day
Will primarily work with patients who have past Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBIs)
EMR: MHS Genesis
Dictation: Dragon
Any active, unrestricted U.S. license accepted
Must be board-certified
