As a Locum Gastroenterologist, you will be instrumental in delivering critical healthcare services, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive evaluations and treatment for gastrointestinal disorders. Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the field of gastroenterology
• Conduct thorough evaluations and develop treatment plans for gastrointestinal disorders
• Perform diagnostic procedures and interventions as required
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient management
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records
• Participate in ongoing professional education and training
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in gastroenterology
• Provide mentorship to junior medical staff as needed

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
• Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology
• Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably in gastroenterology
• Strong diagnostic and procedural skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
• Active medical license in the state of Texas

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30a-4p or 8a-4:30p

Call shifts required

Setting: Inpatient, outpatient, and OR

Procedures: Colonoscopies (diagnostic, biopsy, bleeding control, polyp removal, EMR) and EGD with biopsy, dilation, bleeding control, or band ligation

EMR: CPRS

Any active, unrestricted U.S. medical license accepted

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
