This contract, on-site position provides an excellent opportunity to engage directly with patients while delivering high-quality care in the medical practice industry.
In this role, you will play a critical part in diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal disorders, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and compassionate care. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes and enhance our services.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients with gastrointestinal conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Perform endoscopic procedures as necessary
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Educate patients on preventive care and lifestyle modifications
- Participate in continuous professional development and training
- Adhere to all safety and medical protocols in practice
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Active medical license in the state of practice
- Completion of residency in Internal Medicine or Gastroenterology
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of gastroenterological diseases
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care
- Prior experience in a similar role is preferred
- Level I Trauma Center
Schedule: 24-hour call, 7a-7a
Setting: Inpatient
Daily Census: 8-10 new patients and follow-ups, 5-8 scopes
Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
Duties: Scoping, ERCP, EUS, endoscopies, GI bleeds, and evaluation of GI problems
Will not do admits
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
