Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive gastroenterology consultations and treatment plans
- Perform endoscopic procedures and interpret diagnostic tests
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care
- Document patient interactions accurately and in a timely manner
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options and preventative care
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in gastroenterology
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice
- Adhere to all medical protocols and regulations
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology
- Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably in gastroenterology
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Current state medical license to practice in Augusta
- Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) certifications
Schedule: Monday-Sunday, 7a-7p, specific dates
No call required
Daily Volume: 20-30 patients, 3-7 procedures Monday-Thursday
Cases: Procedures, rounding, and consults
Must be able to do ERCP
APP support
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
