Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and examinations
  • Diagnose and treat gastrointestinal disorders and diseases
  • Perform endoscopic procedures and other necessary interventions
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop patient care plans
  • Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development
  • Ensure compliance with medical regulations and standards

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of Arizona
  • Board certification in Gastroenterology preferred
  • Experience in a clinical setting, ideally in Gastroenterology
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
  • Basic proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems

Level III Trauma

Schedule: 24-hour call shifts

In-house 7a-4p, on call afterwards

Setting: Inpatient

Daily Volume: 6-12 patients

Patient Population: Adults only

Procedures are required

ERCP required, EUS preferred

Support Staff: APPs, endo lab, RNs, techs, anesthesia, etc.

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
