As a Locum Gastroenterologist, you will provide essential care to patients, diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal conditions while working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. This role is crucial in ensuring that our patients receive high-quality care and effective treatment options. Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations and assessments for gastrointestinal conditions
• Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to patient needs
• Perform diagnostic procedures such as endoscopies and colonoscopies
• Collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Educate patients about their conditions and treatment options
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Stay current with advancements in gastroenterology
• Participate in team meetings and case discussions

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Valid medical license to practice in the state of South Carolina
• Strong interest in gastroenterology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to patient-centered care
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges

Schedule: 24-hour call shifts

7a-7p in-house, 7p-7a off-site

Setting: Inpatient

Patient Volume: 27 per day

Duties: Rounding and consulting

Procedures Required: Scopes

Support Staff: PAs, RNs, and CMAs

EMR: eCW, MediTech

Must be board-certified
