As a Locum Gastroenterologist, you will diagnose and treat gastrointestinal disorders while collaborating closely with a team of healthcare professionals. Your expertise is essential for enhancing the health and well-being of our patients through comprehensive care and innovative medical practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed patient assessments and medical histories
• Diagnose and manage gastrointestinal disorders
• Perform endoscopic procedures as needed
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers in a multidisciplinary team
• Educate patients and their families about treatment options and preventative care
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
• Participate in case reviews and continuing medical education activities
• Provide on-call support and cover for absences as required

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of residency in Gastroenterology
• Current state medical license and board certification in Gastroenterology
• Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Commitment to patient care and continuous improvement in practice

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30a-3p 

No call requirement

Setting: Inpatient & outpatient

Case Types: Bread and butter & ERCP

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
